๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฉ A coup in Sudan | Inside Story

In Sudan, protesters have been calling for a complete change of the political system
What they’ve got is an end to the thirty year rule of Omar Al Bashir – through a military coup.
But the alternative is unlikely to satisfy many.
The defence minister says Omar Al Bashir was removed and arrested, and the army will now be in charge for the next two years.
The constitution has been suspended. Parliament, the central government and regional governments have all been dissolved. And a state of emergency has been declared.
Does that satisfy the protesters?

Presenter: Hallah Mohieddine

Guests
Hafiz Mohamed, Director of Justice Africa.
David Shinn, Former U.S. amabassador to Ethiopia and former deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. embassy in Sudan.
Hajooj Kuka, Member of GIRIFNA, a non-violent resistance movement in Sudan.

  1. A Two year transition period will end up being a Two decade transition.. The AU, MENA and East African committees should pressurize the new dictator to recede power to the civilian rule within a week and form a civilian transition Government to oversee the new election within 90days.

  2. Destruction of Arabs is imminent according to Hadith.Abrahim(AS) and
Ismail (AS) accepted this destruction. When Arabs are Far away from Quran
and Sunnah. Those who know Arabic should be closer to it. They should
stop evil and guide people to good. Instead they are sinful people.

Askanazi(Kazar) Jews are Yajjuj and Majuj who are not blocked behind the
wall of dam which was covered on top too. They create
fasad(courruption) in the economic system.Stupid Arabs work for Greater
    Isreal.

We need to bring back Khalifate on the path of prophethood. It is not
ISIS or Al Qaida the Kawarij.

  3. Both the protesters and the military should be very careful this time, any miscalculation may lead to unnecessary direction.

  4. โ€œThe issue is not only bashir but the whole regimeโ€ said hafif. I feel afraid for Sudan for long last to come through the road of destruction the same countries like Syria, Iraq, Libya and somalia.

  5. I mean thing’s might change for the better good since their formal leader had sanction’s put on his own nation. now the sanction’s might be uplifted and the country might thrive.

  6. I can’t wait to see Al Bashir’s friend, Eritrean Dictator president Eseyas Afeworki will be the next overthrown sooner or later !

  7. Why do African people always think about the wrong things that their dictators have done, What about the good things that they have done to the country. Please do not create civil wars among yourselves. You should always try to unite and unify your countries on both left and right.

  8. Just look at the education level of country. A leader wonโ€™t be any better than the avarage of it. Sudanese are as clueless about politics as a little warm crawling in the mud, they wouldnโ€™t recognize democracy if they saw it.

  10. I recommend to all Sudanese that if they want a new Sudan to emerge from this chaos, that they wholeheartedly study the founding documents of the USA- the Declaration of Independence, the US Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. These documents were forged by some of the greatest minds of the 18th Century and continue to this day to provide the guidance and scope of the greatest nation ever known to mankind. Having said this, the USA was founded in a Judaeo-Christian culture, where the founding fathers were well versed in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the deep teachings of the Bible. Unfortunately, the Islamic world has never had any examples of even a good Republic government, let alone any form of Democracy. Though the Islamic has contributed many great ideas to world development, government has not been one of them. Pray for peace in Sudan. Turn your hearts to the Lord Jesus. After spending 20% of my life in Sudan, I know first hand how wonderful and lovely these people truly are but also the deep seated problems in the country.

  11. Omar was oustered by the military coup. Yes the Sudanese are celebrating which is good. However there is no true democracy under military rule. Two years๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ under what? military rule. Really! I suppose this is a mere joke. If this is true, then I forsee the reign of terror coming to Sudanese. May God remember the Sudanese, they need a civilian government not a military rule๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿคจ

  12. Looks like Tahrir Squer style victory !!! Bashir left another General came . Same old wine in different bottles. What is next ?

Oh muslimoon stick to the ulema they talked many times about Revolution rebelling etc.

  14. This is look like what happened in Egypt if you hear military take over power it’s military coup so it’s take over power to dictatorship and switch an other dictatorship nothing changed

  15. These people do not deserve democracy , isis is just waiting an apportunity , let their military be in charge of the country much better

  16. Wow this is what happened in my country the Gambia West Africa 22 years ago. These military guys will never leave that state house. They lie to the people and later turned to be dictators killing and torturing innocent civilians.

  17. Mugabe = Done
    Buteflika = Done
    Al Bashir = Done
    Museveni = Next
    Sasso Ngueso = Later
    Paul Biya = After
Obiang Nguema = to follow after Biya.
Bongo and Eyadema = After Biya…

    Then Africa would be cured
