DRC: 17 killed as anti-Kabila protests turn violent
At least 17 people, including three police officers, have been killed during anti-government protests in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The demonstrators were demanding President Joseph Kabila to step down.
Kabila’s second term ends in December, but the opposition is accusing him of planning to hold onto power.

This guys has been in power since 2001. He cheated on both elections in 2006 and 2011. His second term ended since 2016 but he still does not want to leave! the Irony of it all is My country’s name is Democratic Republic of Congo.
G’day,
Ah, Congo….(!).
Somebody should go and dig up Prince Leopold, and use his Skull for a Soccer-Ball, just(ifiably ?) to give his Ghost the message of how savagely History judges all that which his personal burning ambitious arrogant selfish Greed hath wrought…
Have any of the Protesters noticed the fractal nature of conducting violent Protests on the Streets to protest the President appearing to be preparing to sieze an extension of Power by Violent means, in contradiction of the Constitutional Prohibition against using Violence to take or hold Power…?
No wonder "Belgium !" is listed as being the most foul Swearword in the entire Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy…!

No matter who’s in charge, nothing will change.
The people have spoken. But who will lead them now?
Surely it’s healthy to be engaged in robust political debate ?
