Seventy percent of the world’s cocoa comes from West Africa, most of it from Ivory Coast. Child labor on cocoa plantations has been well-documented and persists despite a 15-year-old agreement between the government and the world’s top chocolate sellers to stop it.   1. i used to deliver newspapers when i was 12 years old. i guess by today’s standards that would be child abuse, back then it was a way to make money and buy candy that my mother could not afford. when children work when they are young, they have a better work ethic as adults imo.
