Ivory Coast: world powers discuss bolstering troops


World powers are considering adding more troops to the existing peacekeeping force in Ivory Coast amid concerns of growing violence.

The country has been thrown into turmoil by last month’s disputed presidential election.

Incumbent Laurent Gbagbo is clinging on to power despite losing to opposition leader Allassance Ouattara, recognised as victor by the international community.
